Come learn how to make a horned balaclava! Throughout the duration of this class, you will learn and utilize how to:
· decrease and increase while crocheting in the round
· create a ribbed pattern
· sew together multiple pieces to create a finished balaclava
After completing two 2 hour sessions, you will leave with a ready-to-wear balaclava and new skills to bring with you for future projects!
The shop's first guest teacher Emi is teaching this fun level 2 crochet class!
Project: a balaclava, with or without horns
Pattern: pattern is provided in the class.
What you will learn: crocheting in a circle, increasing, decreasing, shaping with crochet, crocheting a rib, and seaming.
Required Experience: you should be very comfortable with the chain stitch and single crochet to take this class. Knowing half double crochet is a plus, but not required!
Required Yarn: 330 yards of worsted weight yarn. We used 2 skeins of Kelbourne Woolen's Germantown in "Honey."
Required Tools: 6 mm / US J crochet hook, and a darning needle.
