Adena Cardigan Crochet Workshop

Learn how to make a crochet, lightweight, front tie cardigan! While making this spring/summer friendly piece, you will utilize most of the basic crochet stitches including single, half double, double, and treble crochet while learning how to do the mesh stitch, decrease double crochet stitches and mesh stitches, increase in the round, and put together a garment without sewing!

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Working straight double crochet edges, stacked single crochet, mesh stitch, decreasing, increasing, creating ruffled sleeves, customizing sizing, and seaming techniques.

You should be comfortable with the following crochet stitches: chain (ch), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc), and triple crochet (tr).

REQUIRED YARN
400–1000 yards of worsted weight yarn for a short sleeved cardigan (see chart below for yardage by size). We used 3 skeins of Blue Sky Fibers in "Shell" to make the XS size with short sleeves.

REQUIRED TOOLS
6 mm / US J crochet hook
