We're back for another year of yarn crawling, and this is going to be the biggest and best crawl Brooklyn has seen for years!
All five yarn shops in Brooklyn (listed below) have teamed up to make this year's crawl extra special. We'll have raffles, discounts, custom hand-dyed yarn, trunk shows, special events, refreshments, free patterns and stickers, and enough yarn to make your limited edition locally screen-printed yarn crawl tote bag bursting with beauty and inspiration!

Every local yarn shop in Brooklyn will be in the crawl! Including:
Cleo's Yarn Shop (Bushwick/Williamsburg)
Brooklyn Craft Company (Greenpoint)
Brooklyn General Store (Carroll Gardens/Redhook)
Argyle Yarn Shop (Windsor Terrace)
What's a yarn crawl?
A yarn crawl is like a bar crawl, but for yarn shops! Plus SO much more. Each shop will have:
- A free to enter raffle for all who walk through the doors
- A 2025 Brooklyn Yarn Crawl tote bag for sale with a design fitting this year's theme: "Vintage Picnic"
- One of five custom hand-dyed colorways of a yarn specifically designed for the crawl
- Two bonus colors of the same yarn
- A free sticker
- More special events unique to each shop (at Cleo's we're doing a Pom Pom Party! Read more below)
Plus, most shops will also have a free pattern with purchase of that shop's custom yarn crawl colorway! We're going to have two: one knit and one crochet!
And the best part: if you visit & sign in at every shop you'll get entered to win the GRAND prize! The grand prize will awarded in the most incredible picnic basket you've ever seen, and include a full set (7 skeins!) of the crawl's custom yarn, an assortment of crafty goodies donated by our sponsors, as well as gift cards to each shop!
Pom Pom Party Time
What better way to celebrate anything than with a Pom Pom Party? All weekend long (Saturday 10 am–9 pm and Sunday 10 am–8 pm) during the yarn crawl we invite you to join us a make a pom pom or two :) Our classroom tables will be set up with yarn, scissors, pom pom makers, links to tutorials, and pom pom making kits to take home with you!
All pom poms will be free to make, and you can take them home with you if you want, or leave them with us to be made into garlands for our shop & alleyway. We can't wait to make our shop even more colorful with you!

No need to RSVP or sign up for the crawl ahead of time, you just bring your cute self and a crafty friend or two. Can't wait to have you!

When you attend an event at our shop you agree to be recorded and photographed during the event. If you would like to request that your face, hands, or body not be in any photos or videos that we share on social media please send an email requesting so any time prior to the start of the event to hello@cleosyarnshop.com. You may still be recorded or photographed during the event but we will respect your request that the videos or images of you not be shared online.
