This is the perfect project to learn brioche knitted flat! If you're completely new to brioche knitting, we recommend learning on one of these hat patterns first, as it's much easier to learn brioche in the round than it is flat. But if you're an ambitious beginner, or have already mastered brioche in the round, this is a great simple pattern to get into flat brioche knitting!

TECHNIQUES USED
casting on, knitting, purling, slip stitch (sl1pw) brioche knitting (brk), brioche purling (brp), slip one yarn over (sl1yo), binding off in pattern, weaving in ends.
YARN
280 yards total of aran or bulky weight yarn, 140 yards of each color
NEEDLES
US 11 / 8 mm circulars (circular needles are required when knitting two color brioche flat)
GAUGE
2.5 sts & *3.25 rows per inch in brioche stitch
*when counting the rows of one color on one side of work
NOTIONS
scissors, darning/tapestry needle
MEASUREMENTS
9” wide, 58” long (measurements can be easily modified, but note than any adjustments to scarf's size will affect required amount of yarn)
