Though this yarn may initially feel stiff and papery to the first touch, Quince and Co's Sparrow naturally softens while being worked with, and even more so after blocking! It's not unusual to pick up a linen yarn and think 'this isn't soft at all, what would you make with this'? It's not until being passed through the natural warmth of your hands that linen will soften and become more traditionally wearable. Despite this yarn's initially stiff feeling, Sparrow is an ideal yarn for light, drapey summer garments that won't hold on to heat and will move with your body. We think the Sparrow is perfect for summer tops and shawls, bandanas, and light cover-ups.
