If you're an absolute beginner crocheter, this is the easiest little bag to make! Usually when I teach people to crochet I'll teach them to make a scarf, but in the spring and summer that isn't the most ideal project, so I came up with this bag project as a cute warm-weather alternative.
This purse starts out as a simple rectangle, which is then folded and seamed up the edges, leaving a couple inches for a flap with an optional buttonhole. The strap is made separately then sewn on.
This purse is the easier beginner version of our Little Purse No. 1 pattern!

It an adorable little purse. My church is making them for a mission that sends purses with outfits to children and teenagers in Haiti. This is one I made with cotton scraps.
Very easy and the little purse is adorable.
Super easy and clear to follow pattern. I’m a beginner, just started crocheting and I enjoyed making this bag. Thank you!
