You can also learn total beginning techniques at any Open Studio workshop!
Learn to crochet and make a huge cozy scarf, or a bag of any size! Adding pom poms is optional, but very encouraged. The chunky scarves are made longways, and very easy to adjust to the size you want. Bags are made of rectangles of whatever size you want.
We'll start chaining the length of the scarf or bag, then single crochet for the rest of class. Midway through I will demonstrate how to add a new ball of yarn, fasten off, and weave in ends. Most students do not finish their project in class. Crocheting is a slow but also extremely rewarding and meditative process!
We have many different yarns that are great for beginners. Come a bit early to class to get our advice on which ones are easy to use and how much you’ll need for your project!
