We're opening a second location!

Super exciting news: we're opening a new, second yarn shop in Ridgewood in April 2026 (exact date TBD)! It's going to be called Cleo + Rory's Specialty Yarn Shop, (or Rory's for short). And with this exciting development, we're changing the way we do classes & events at both our shops.
The new location is off the Myrtle-Wyckoff L & M train stop, only three stops away from our Bushwick shop!
Classes & Events at Cleo's (Bushwick location)
Our larger location in Bushwick with the cafe will soon be expanding its events programming. We've already started this transition, and can't wait to keep launching more workshops, craft circles, make-alongs, fundraisers, and special events! The majority of our new events will fit into one of these three categories:
Beginner Workshops - COMING SOON!
New to yarn crafts, or want to get back into it after a long break? We'll help you get started! Our beginner series, for either knitting or crocheting, is a flexible 3-class pass (at a new lower cost per session, too) where you'll learn the basic techniques at your own pace. You can schedule your 3 classes close together, or space them out over up to two months. Single sessions are also available if you just need a refresher!
Craft Circles
Our old classic will never go: Happy Hours are still every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5–8 pm. In addition we're excited to bring you more special craft circles: movie nights, fundraisers, trunk shows, and more!
Make-Alongs - NEW & IMPROVED!
Have you missed our make-alongs? We sure have! Starting this spring we're going to host many more make-alongs, where everyone is making the same type of project, or maybe the same exact pattern! Each session will be part craft circle/part class. Each make-along will be hosted by a Cleo's staff member, or member of our community, who either has or is making the same project as everyone else, so they'll be available to answer questions and offer instruction to anyone as needed. Some will be sliding scale, and some will also include $5 off a cafe drink at each session you come to, just like Happy Hour!
Classes at Rory's (Ridgewood location)
At our new location we're going to have two different ways to learn & get help with your projects:
Cleo's Office Hours - Quick Project Help
All skill levels beyond absolute beginner are welcome! Cleo can help with any knitting, crocheting, rigid heddle weaving, tapestry weaving, and punch needling questions.
You can bring a WIP you're stuck on, or get a refresher on a technique you've forgotten. You're also welcome to come in for moral support & expert supervision if you're wary about trying something new by yourself!
Office Hour visits can be as short as you need, or as long as one hour. This is a medium-sized group class where Cleo goes around helping each student as they need assistance.
Office Hour visits starting April 12th are now available to book!
Two-Hour Classes with Cleo - In-Depth Instruction
Learn any pattern, project or technique in this customizable class with Cleo!
Cleo can help all skill levels with knitting, crocheting, punch needling, tapestry weaving, and rigid heddle weaving. You can be an absolute beginner or looking for expert tips for your most complicated project. Cleo has been teaching for over 15 years and can help with pretty much anything you can think of!
Each of these classes is a small group session where everyone gets one-on-one help that Cleo tailors to each person's skill level and learning style.
Classes with Cleo starting April 12th are now available to book!
